The short answer
Divine knowledge and human choice are not treated as a simple either-or in Islamic belief. Muslims affirm that God knows creation, while human beings are addressed as responsible for what they choose and do. Knowing a choice is not the same concept as forcing it.
A little more context
How divine decree and human agency fit together has been explained in different ways by theological schools. A brief analogy cannot resolve every philosophical difficulty. The practical emphasis is that belief in decree is not an excuse to avoid responsibility, learning, or efforts to improve a situation.
